International Patients Services at Shifaco include:
1. First and if needed Second Medical Opinion
If a patient wishes to seek a second opinion on medical advice given by the first doctor they see, then we at Shifaco can also arrange for a second opinion. An international patient before travelling to India for Medical Treatment can also seek opinion from Doctors in India by emailing us his medical test reports and opinion or treatment recommendations from doctors in his/her home country through us.
2. Recommend the Best Destination in India for Treatment
Once we receive your initial ailment report, we recommend the best hospital for its treatment with our scope of hospitals at Chennai, Hyderabad and Mysore and arrange appointments. Each hospital within our scope has speciality and super speciality medical professionals with exceptional track record for treating ailments in specific domains very successfully.
3. We provide accurate Estimates for treatment of your Ailment
Detailed estimates are provided to clients for hospitalization, medical procedures, pathological tests, and related services including accommodation for your assistors and attendants within hospital and outside the hospitals during the follow-up consultation post hospitalization.
4. Provide support document for Indian Visa, if needed
Sometimes, overseas patients planning to travel to India for Medical Treatment need documents to apply for Indian Visa. We furnish the necessary documents to assist them in procuring the Visa to travel to India for Medical Treatment. To encourage applications and ease the travel process for medical tourists, the government has expanded its e-tourism VISA regime in February 2019, to include medical visas. The maximum duration of stay under this visa is 6 months. Since 30 August 2019, foreigners can receive any medical treatment in India apart from organ transplants without a medical visa.
5. Hospitality Support
Once we receive the travel itinerary of the international patients, we arrange for Airport Pickup, initial accommodation (suitable to the budget), arrange transportation within the city for preliminary appointments with hospitals and doctors, arrange interpreters wherever needed etc. We ensure the stay in comfortable and within the estimated cost for our clients.
